Looking for something to do on Family Day, February 17? Join us at Argyle Arena for a “Family Skate”, between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Thanks to the City of London, East London Optimists and Argyle Community Association for hosting the event. Admission is free and there will be free raffle prizes.
Community Movie Nights will be happening on the second and third Friday evenings in February, March and April. Admission and movie snacks are free, doors open at 6:30 with the movie starting at 7:00. February 21 the movie “Turbo” will be shown at Bethel Church at 716 Classic Drive and on February 28 the movie “Percy Jackson- Sea of Monsters” will be shown at Royal View Church at 218 Clarke Rd. The East London Library is very excited to announce that they are the recipients of a grant to support five family literacy events in Argyle, called "Read around the Block." These will be special community celebrations of family literacy, and the first one will launch to coincide with Investing in Children's Kids First Day on Friday March 7, from 11am-2 pm, at East London Library. This first event, with the theme of "Game On!" will feature games, activities, crafts, food, iPads to try and fun for the whole family! This event is brought to you with the support of the London Public Library, the Child and Youth Network, and Argyle Family Centre partners. Drop in anytime during the event, there is no registration required. A great way to fill your passport for Kids First Day!
