Congratulations to Church of Ascension the recipient of one of the 2014 Heritage Awards from the Architectural Conservancy of Ontario (London Region Branch) and Heritage London Foundation. The award is “for the creation of a new church in which you have incorporated cherished and historic items, including stained glass windows, from the four constituent churches. Your project provides a new spiritual home in an imaginative adaptation and reuse of a former commercial building.” Presentation of the framed citation will be made on February 20.
Congratulations as well to one of our long standing businesses. Ken’s Autocare at the corner of Dundas and Industrial Rd.who celebrated 41 years in business in the Argyle area in January. One of the few service stations in the city where they pump the gas and the air is free! We have so many great businesses such as Ken’s in Argyle so I want to remind everyone to shop local and support our small businesses.
