100 Years of Argyle

Argyle Community Association (ACA) is very excited to announce a special project to celebrate our community -- 100 Years of Argyle.

Argyle residents (of all ages!) are invited to create a factual submission about the history of the area. We are hoping this project will allow residents to have a deeper understanding of how our neighbourhood developed through annexation and how the land was used prior to the annexation.

The ACA is organizing this project as a competition which will assess and rank submissions and award prizes for the best projects in different age categories. Participants in the competition may submit written short histories of the Argyle community, biographies of notable members of the community, historical fictions set in Argyle, historical geographies of the area, poetry reflecting the theme or visual art pieces celebrating Argyle at Canada’s 150th. *Please support your facts by references.

The competition is now open and runs until August 1, 2017.

UPCOMING EVENTS OF INTEREST

Everyone is invited to join us for the Argyle Community Association Board Meetings held the 4th Wednesday of each month from September until June. We meet at East London Library - Rotary Room - 2016 Dundas St., from 7-9 p.m.
